Is Aurora suitable for beginners?
Yes. Guided mode coaches you step by step and lets you retry, so you can learn the moves before practicing under interview conditions. Start with the free diagnostic and Aurora calibrates from there.
Is this meant to replace a human coach?
No. It works alongside one. Aurora gives you unlimited, judgment-free reps and instant feedback at any hour, so your time with a human coach or your peers goes further.
Can I practice in voice mode?
Yes. Every case runs in text or voice. Voice is the closest thing to the real room: you speak your structure and work the math out loud.
What counts as one case attempt?
One full run of a case from the opening prompt through to your scored feedback. You can revisit a completed case to practice again.
Can I practice different case formats?
Yes. Profitability, pricing, market entry, M&A, market sizing, and growth, across multiple difficulty levels.
How does Aurora score my performance?
Each case is scored on five dimensions: structure, quantitative reasoning, business judgment, synthesis, and communication. The rubric was designed by a former Bain consultant, and every score comes with specific notes and a drill to work on.
Do you guarantee I will get an offer?
No. No tool or coach honestly can. Aurora is built to make you measurably better prepared; the outcome depends on you and the process you're in.
Is Aurora affiliated with Bain, McKinsey, or BCG?
No. Aurora's consulting module was designed by Jeff, a former Bain consultant, but Aurora is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Bain, McKinsey, BCG, or any consulting firm.
Do you use my recordings or answers to train AI models?
No. As our privacy policy states, we store your practice conversations and results (per-skill scores and the AI's feedback notes) in your account and use them only to show you your own progress and to personalize your preparation plan. Practice sessions are kept separate from your career profile, and your individual practice results are never shared with employers.
