Beat the assessment that's between you and the job

Once your application is in, most employers make you pass a timed reasoning test before they'll interview you. Practise the real format, learn from every mistake, and walk in ready. Your first test is free.

Most people fail these tests on format and timing, not ability. That's the part practice fixes.

Why it matters

The assessment is a filter, and most people walk in blind

It's the quiet reason strong applications get rejected. Worth understanding before you take one.

It stands between you and the interview

You've cleared the CV screen. Do badly here and you're cut before you ever get to talk to anyone.

One shot, on a short deadline

You usually get a few days' notice and a single attempt. There's no warm-up round on the day itself.

The format trips people, not the maths

Capable people lose marks to the clock and the question style. Seeing it once beforehand changes everything.

How it works

How Aurora gets you ready

Real timed tests, instant marking, a proper debrief, and a plan for what to practise next.

01Practise

Under real conditions

Every test type, on a timer that behaves like the real one: it survives a refresh and auto-submits at zero. It runs as one clean card inside Aurora, never a scary exam portal.

Answer: Nordics

Nordics grew from €250m to €325m, a 30% rise. Benelux grew 20%, while DACH and UK & Ireland each grew about 10%.

Habit that helps: convert every row to a percentage first, then rank. It's faster than eyeballing and it kills the distractors.
InferenceVerbal
A graduate survey found that candidates who followed a structured job-search plan applied to 30% fewer roles than those who applied broadly, yet received more interview invitations on average. The report did not measure starting salaries.
“Following a structured plan leads to a higher starting salary.”

FFalse
?Cannot say
Aurora explainsDrawing inferences
Answer: Cannot say

The passage says starting salaries were not measured, so there's nothing in the text to judge this statement on, either way.

Habit that helps: if you can't point to the sentence that settles it, the answer is Cannot say.
Is it worth paying?

Free samples show you questions. They don't make you better.

A few random questions online won't tell you why you got one wrong, or whether you're fast enough. That's the gap Aurora closes.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Which tests can I practise?
All four: numerical, verbal, inductive, and situational judgment. Every set runs timed by default, with an untimed mode when you'd rather learn the format first.
Are the questions like the real thing?
Yes. Each question is modelled on the formats the big providers use (SHL, Cappfinity, Talent Q, Aon), so the layout, timing, and phrasing match what you'll get on the day.
I've never done one. Is this for me?
Yes. Start untimed to learn how each question type works, then switch on the timer when you're ready. Nothing here is compared against other candidates, so there's no one to fall behind.
What happens after I submit?
You get an honest score and your pace, then Aurora reopens every question you missed and walks through the full working. From there it builds a short drill on whatever tripped you up.
Can I practise for a specific employer?
Yes, that's what Sprint Plus is for. Name the company you're applying to and Aurora builds your prep around them: the provider they use, the question style, and a final simulation under real timing. On the other plans you practise the general provider formats.
Can I pay for just one test type?
Yes. Focus Sprint gives you one test type of your choice for €9.95 a month. If your employer tests more than one, Assessment Sprint covers them all.
Is the free diagnostic really free?
Yes. You get five questions from each of the four tests, marked, with Aurora walking you through the ones you miss. It needs a free account so your scores are saved, and no credit card. You only pay if you want the full sets and unlimited drills.
Why pay when there are free samples online?
Free samples show you a few questions. They rarely tell you why an answer is wrong, or whether your timing would pass. Aurora marks every answer, explains the ones you miss, matches the format to your employer's provider, and drills your weak spots. That's what actually moves your score.
Does a score here predict my real result?
No. It shows where you stand today and what to work on. The real outcome depends on your prep and the day itself, and no honest tool can promise more than that.
Do you use my answers to train AI models?
No. As our privacy policy states, when you sit a timed practice test we store the practice conversation and your results (per-skill scores and Aurora's feedback notes) in your account, and use them only to show you your own progress and to personalise your preparation plan. Practice sessions are kept separate from your career profile, and your individual practice results are never shared with employers. See the privacy policy for the full details on how practice data is used and retained.
Can universities or clubs buy access?
Yes. We offer group access for universities, career services, and student associations. Get in touch and we'll set you up. See the section below.
